This ensures a more personalised experience, greater flexibility on game drives, and the freedom to adjust pace according to your preferences.

Absolutely. All of our packages serve as a starting point, not a fixed blueprint. We encourage clients to personalise their itinerary, whether that means adding an extra destination, adjusting the duration, upgrading accommodation, or incorporating a specific activity. Please contact our team directly and we will design a bespoke itinerary tailored to your exact requirements and budget.

Our guides are highly experienced, licensed, and trained in first aid and emergency response. As with all international travel, we strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure.

Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. Kenya operates an eVisa system accessible via the official eCitizen portal. Uganda and Rwanda also offer online visa applications. East Africa operates a joint tourist visa that covers Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda ideal for multi-country itineraries. We strongly advise all clients to verify the latest visa requirements with the relevant embassy or official government portal well in advance of travel. Our team is happy to provide guidance on the process.

Kenya offers exceptional wildlife experiences year-round, however the following periods are particularly notable:

  • January to March: Warm, sunny weather, fewer crowds, and superb wildlife viewing.
  • July to October: Peak safari season with the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Masai Mara.
  • November: Beginning of short rains; lush landscapes and abundant birdlife.
  • December: High demand festive season. Booking well in advance is essential.

Yes, and it can be a remarkably rewarding experience. The rainy seasons bring lush landscapes, newborn animals, and significantly reduced rates at lodges and camps. Game drives remain productive, and our experienced guides are well-versed in navigating all conditions.

Absolutely. A family safari is one of the most enriching travel experiences a child can have. We design family-friendly itineraries that balance game drives with age-appropriate activities. We recommend a minimum age of approximately 5 years for standard game drives.

  • 0–2 years: Travel free of charge.
  • 3–12 years: 50% of adult rate (sharing) or 75% (separate room).
  • Above 12 years: Charged as adults by most camps and lodges.

Cancellations 30+ days before departure are eligible for a partial refund minus non-recoverable third-party deposits. Within 14–29 days forfeits the deposit. Within 14 days may forfeit the full amount. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

In the rare event of a significant change, we will notify you promptly and offer a suitable alternative or a full refund. We reserve the right to make minor amendments where circumstances require (e.g., road conditions) while maintaining quality.

  • Clothing: Neutrals like khaki, beige, or olive. Avoid bright colors.
  • Footwear: Comfortable closed-toe shoes and sandals for the lodge.
  • Protection: High-SPF sunscreen, wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses.
  • Bags: Soft-sided, collapsible bags are essential for domestic flights.

Official currencies include KES (Kenya), UGX (Uganda), and RWF (Rwanda). US Dollars are widely accepted for tipping and small purchases. Cards are accepted at mid-range and luxury lodges, though ATMs are limited in remote areas.

Most lodges/camps offer free WiFi in public areas (lobby, bar). Note that in some remote camps, there is no signal in the guest rooms.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel and medical insurance in your home country. We can provide additional Medical Evacuation cover via AMREF at an extra cost.
